Alum Highlight: Mia Hancock-Keeling Selected as 2024 Virginia School Social Worker of the Year
We're thrilled to showcase Mia Hancock-Keeling, an alum of Radford University School of Social Work, who has been honored as the 2024 Virginia School Social Worker of the Year. Mia's outstanding contributions to students with disabilities at Patrick Henry High School, William Fleming High School, and Woodrow Wilson Middle School have been recognized by the Virginia Association of School Social Workers. Since she began her professional journey with Roanoke City Public Schools in 2017, Mia has been committed to uplifting and guiding the youth. Her engagement in education, community initiatives, and leadership roles within the association demonstrate her passion for social work. A big congratulations to Mia on this well-earned accolade and her continuous efforts to positively influence the lives of many students.
