NURS 727: Advanced Practice Nursing in Primary Care 2: FNP Concentration

This course is a continuation of Primary Care 1, designed to prepare the student for advanced clinical decision-making related to providing care in diverse settings with individuals, families, and populations across the lifespan.

Course Content

As a continuation of Primary Care 1, students will focus on the development of knowledge and skills for clinical decision-making needed to deliver advanced practice healthcare to individuals and populations across the lifespan with a focus on wellness and assessment, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic health issues.

This course may include but is not limited to faculty and student-led seminar discussions, lectures, guest speakers, case studies, reading assignments, written projects, and other teaching-learning strategies as appropriate.

Evaluation measures to assess achievement of course objectives may include case studies, exams, quizzes, student presentations, and written projects.
