V. Course Description: 

Explores the various theories and applications of adult education in the practice of training, pre-professional education, and post-professional education of emergency services personnel. Critical analysis of the different methods of teaching and training emergency services professionals is accomplished through discussion, investigation, and application.

VI. Goals and Objectives of the Course:

  1. Explain educational theories and techniques used in used in clinical healthcare education.
  2. Explain theories in the field of adult education and their application to Emergency Services education.
  3. Develop a continuing education program from outline to delivery.
  4. Evaluate issues related to the delivery of education to Emergency Services professionals.
  5. Criticize instructional modalities and create a plan for improvement.
