Provides advanced cognitive diagnostic and treatment skills for medical diagnoses. Students learn in-depth pathophysiology and prescribed protocol treatment for common medical and traumatic diagnoses seen in critical care transport.

  1. Provide comprehensive airway and ventilatory management procedures.
  2. Analyze problems with critical care medical devices and resolve issues.
  3. Discuss the pathophysiology of common medical and traumatic conditions seen in critical care transport.
  4. Maintain invasive and chronic care medical monitoring devices.
  5. Interpret laboratory values and their impact on the patient’s condition.
