  • MS Civil & Environmental Engineering from Virginia Tech
  • BS Geology with Concentration in Engineering Geoscience from Radford University

I have been advancing my own geospatial knowledge since my first GIS course at Radford University in 1998. My student career examined geology and digitizing paper maps, landslide susceptibility using digital terrain models, infrastructure data model development, interior space routing, land development and design, and flood plain digitization. After obtaining the MS from Virginia Tech I worked for the university in various capacities including research associate,

GIS manager, and Sr GIS Analyst. Currently I'm developing interior routing applications for the Veterinary College at Virginia Tech and developing social distancing capacities for classrooms for the upcoming semester. I also teach part time at Radford University in addition to being a partner with New River Geographics, a local geospatial startup focusing on community support and engagement that expands geospatial understanding for those communities affected by construction of large fossil fuel infrastructure projects. Finally I obtained my UAS remote pilot license in 2016. I look forward to seeing you around campus.
