III. Credit Hours: 3 credits

IV. Prerequisites: HADM 430, HSCI 300.

V. Course Description: 

This capstone course is part of the culminating experience for the Healthcare Administration major. Healthcare management concepts and applications are integrated through systematic examination of a selected issue or problem in the work setting.

Note(s): Applied Learning designated course. This course is the first part of a two-semester project.

VI. Goals and Objectives of the Course:

Upon completion of the course, the student will:

  1. Synthesize knowledge and skills learned in core and specialization courses through the development of a Capstone project.
  2. Identify a specific problem and its situational context.
  3. Determine a reasonable method for studying the problem and collect relevant evidence.
