COVID-19 Dashboard Shows Continued Focus on Health, Safety, and Well-Being

Important Update on COVID-19 Global Health Pandemic at Radford University Message from President Brian O. Hemphill, Ph.D.

Dear Radford Family:

As part of the University’s weekly updates throughout the global health pandemic, the latest testing data is now available on the University COVID-19 Dashboard. To date, as part of the Spring 2021 semester, the University has administered a total of 6,511 tests with 112 positives, representing an overall positivity rate of 1.72 percent. For the most recent reporting period, April 5-11, 2021, Radford University administered 326 tests with six positives, representing a weekly positivity rate of 1.84 percent.

As the gathering limitations increased at the beginning of this month and more in-person activities are being held, Highlanders continue to wear face coverings and exercise physical distancing as part of both on-campus and off-campus events. This increased level of activity and engagement comes at an exciting and promising time in which the University has offered vaccine opportunities for faculty and staff, as well as students. This continued focus on the health, safety, and well-being of our campus and our community must continue as we approach the end of the semester!

With Highlander Pride,

Brian O. Hemphill, Ph.D.
President
