Research Interests:
On a recent trip to Africa, I learned that the fruit of the sausage tree is used by Africans for skin cancer and other skin ailments. Some research, but not a lot, has been done to isolate the active ingredients in the sausage tree fruit. My research involves the extraction and isolation of the components of the sausage tree fruit, along with the identification of these compounds.
