Student chapter of The Wildlife Society attends state meeting, takes home award
The student chapter of The Wildlife Society represented Radford University well at this week’s state conference of The Wildlife Society. We had 5 students present their research and one award winner. Co-President Trey Harris was this year’s winner of Virginia Chapter of The Wildlife Society “Excellence in Wildlife Stewardship through Science and Education” Scholarship. This scholarship rewards a student who has the potential to make significant contributions to the field of wildlife management. Trey is currently working with fellow student Justin McLaughlin and professors Karen Powers and Bob Sheehy to determine habitat preferences of salamanders in the genus Plethodon. Congrats, Trey!
