Events, Performances and Exhibitions!

Each semester, the College of Visual and Performing Arts offers dozens of events, large and small. Everything listed here is open to the public and most are free admission. To stay on top of everything, you can get our newsletter or follow us on Facebook or Instagram. In the meantime, here's what's coming up in the near future . . . we'd love to see you there.

Great Expectations graphic
"The Acting Company" was founded in 1972 by John Houseman and Margot Harley with the first graduating class of the Drama Division of The Juilliard School. They will be performing a stage adaptation of Charles Dicken's Great Expectations at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21 as part of the University Performance Series. January and February

Artist Jane Cheek brings her show Alchemy of Gravity to the Covington Gallery from January 20 to February 20. The exhibition features biomorphic forms, light, and sound that conjure a dreamlike world. The show explores joy, resilience, and belonging, inviting quiet reflection and community connection. Admission is free and everyone is invited to tmeet the artist at the closing reception on February 20.

Choir rehearsing
Ryan Rogers directs the Radford University choir during rehearsals. The choir concert will take place on February 23 at 7:30 p.m. in Davis Performance Hall in the Covington Center. Admission is free.

Whispers abound of the Radfordton Regency Ball, an affair of elegance and delight sure to charm every guest. It is sure to be the most talked-about event of the season and as in all matters of society, timing is everything.

  • Beginner Lessons begin promptly at 6 p.m.
  • The Ball will officially commence at 7 p.m. and end when the clock strikes 10 p.m.
