We provide a combination of artistic and academic excellence across all of the arts disciplines. Instruction combines traditional forms and approaches with the latest in technology applications to best prepare students for the challenges and expectations that await them in their careers as artists, designers, scholars, educators, therapists and arts-related professionals.
Radford University celebrated the opening of its new Artis Center for Adaptive Innovation and Creativity with a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony on Sept. 5, 2024. The new center, which opened to students at the start of the 2024 fall semester, is a state-of-the-art complex that fuses the arts, health sciences and technology in modern teaching environments tailored to stimulate creativity and innovation. The Covington Center's Davis Performance Hall offers an exceptional stage for music and the Radford University Art Museum has two main galleries with new exhibitions each semester.
The Radford University Art Museum is dedicated to creating an inclusive and enriching environment where students, the university community and the public can engage with and learn from original works of art. Since its establishment, the Art Museum has been committed to promoting visual literacy as part of a comprehensive education, offering programming that is both locally connected and globally relevant.
The work of the students, faculty, and guest artists combine to make our college the artistic and cultural center of this region of the Commonwealth and beyond. Visit us and see for yourself why the arts at Radford University are exciting, enlightening and enriching!
