Meghan Williams Spraker joined the Radford University web communications team as a web content editor in November 2010. In 2013, Meghan became web content strategist and in late 2015 assumed the role of manager of web communications. She was appointed as Director of Digital Communications and Marketing in 2018.
Prior to that, Meghan served as the communications manager for the Division of Student Affairs and University Relations at Virginia Tech. She also served as the associate director of public affairs at a non-profit organization in Richmond, Va. She received her bachelor’s degree in communication from Radford University and her master’s degree in mass communications with a concentration in strategic public relations from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Jessica Fowler, Web Content Producer & Editor
Jessica Fowler joined the Radford University web strategy and interactive media team in June 2016. Prior to joining Radford University, she was the Marketing and Communications specialist for an engineering and manufacturing firm in Roanoke, Virginia. Jessica received her bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from Hollins University and was certified in Social Media Strategy for Business from Virginia Western Community College.
Alexa Nash, Social Media Coordinator & Web Content Assistant Producer
Alexa Nash joined the Radford University family in October 2018 as the Social Media Coordinator and Web Content Assistant Producer. In conjunction with the University Relations web communications and strategy team, she develops and produces social media content and provides guidance to university departments on effective social media strategies. She also assists in departmental website development and CMS training under the leadership of the Web Content Producer and Editor.
Alexa holds a B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Lynchburg and an M.S. in Mass Communications with a multimedia journalism concentration from Virginia Commonwealth University. Previously, Alexa worked as a freelance journalist for several news outlets in central Virginia.
