Aisha Noma, '21
Theater Design/Tech concentration and Cinema minor
After graduation, Aisha Noma accepted opportunities to work as a Stage Manager Apprentice at the Roundhouse Theatre, one of the "Big Six" around the nation's capital. She also works as a Groups and Events Associate at Arena Stage.
Aisha says her classes and practical experience at Radford helped her become versatile and prepared. She developed skills in stage managagement, software applications, design, scenery and box office management that have helped her become a desireable candidate in the professional world. And her willingness to try new things has been a great advantage.
Her advice? "To apply to EVERYTHING. Being a theatre major doesn’t limit you – it can branch out to everything, all of the skills you are learning now will help you. When you graduate, it’s about the experience. KEEP YOUR PASSION. If you don’t like what you’re doing, you can change!
