COED 699:  Research and Thesis

Credit Hours: (1-6)

The student will complete a research project in the area of counselor education. Hours and credit arranged with the approval of the student's thesis supervisor and the Dean of the College of Graduate and Extended Education.

 

Detailed Description of Content of Course

The course will consist of research in the area of counselor education.

 

Detailed Description of Conduct of Course

Student will complete a thesis under the advisement of the supervising professor and the thesis committee.

 

Goals and Objectives of the Course

The goal of the course is for the student to conduct research in an area of counselor education and write a thesis that meets the requirements of the counselor Education Department and the Graduate School.

 

Assessment Measures

The thesis committee and graduate school will assess the quality of the thesis in terms of content and format. Literature review, research design, and statistical analysis will be considered in assessing the quality of the thesis.
