Vision and Drivers

The project vision and drivers were developed in partnership with the Building Design Committee and based off feedback from staff & faculty information sessions and interviews with academic and support service departments. The vision and drivers will root our process and decision making throughout the entirety of the project.

Project Vision
As an embodiment of Radford University's culture of care, the Academic Health Sciences Building in Roanoke will welcome, inspire, and empower students, faculty, staff, and community members working to create healthy, thriving communities in Southwest Virginia.

By making well-being visible, encouraging academic exploration, and showcasing interprofessional education, the new facility will promote workforce development and inspire life-long learning in service of the community and the Commonwealth.
