Radford University invites applicants from our partner schools to apply as exchange students.

Exchange programs offer numerous benefits for students, including academic enrichment, personal development, and enhanced career opportunities. Students gain a global perspective, develop new language skills, and build intercultural competence. They also become more adaptable, resilient, and confident, and broaden their professional networks.

Exchange Benefits and Mandatory Fees

As an exchange student, you will receive the following benefits:

Non-ISEP Students:
- Tuition and fees waived.
- Students are responsible for their housing, meal plan, and any class fees (for example, a fee required for a lab).
- Students are required to enroll in the Radford University International Health Insurance Plan. This is mandatory and cannot be waived.
ISEP Students:
- Tuition and fees, housing fee, and meal fee are waived.
- Students are responsible for any class fees (for example, a fee required for a lab).

Application Steps for Exchange Students (Non-ISEP)

To apply as an exchange (non-ISEP) student, please submit the following documents through the Highlander Portal:

Complete the online application for exchange students.
Submit an official transcript in English.
Submit the Exchange Student Course Registration Form [PDF].

Although not required for admission, the following documents are required to issue your DS-2019 immigration form, which you will need to bring to apply for yout student visa. We recommend that you submit the documents at the same time as your application materials.

Copy of your passport biographical page.
Bank statement (showing sufficient funding for the duration of your stay).
Affidavit of Support (completed by the person listed in the bank statement).

Application Steps for Exchange Students (ISEP Only)

Exchange students coming through an ISEP program should contact their ISEP coordinator at their home school in order to apply.
