Ali-Sha Alleman, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor
Dr. Ali-Sha Alleman is an Associate Professor, Graduate Teaching Fellow Mentor, and Chair of HBSE Sequence. She is also a CSWE Minority Fellow Alum, d(2016-2017) and Radford University Faculty Development Fellow, DEI. She received her BSW from Rutgers University, MSW from Brown School Washington University in St. Louis, and Ph.D. from Morgan State University. She teaches graduate-level HBSE & practice courses, and undergraduate-level policy and HBSE courses. Dr. Alleman has practice expertise in women social justice issues, domestic violence & substance abuse, nonprofit management, and community practice. Her research focuses on women entrepreneurship, women of color, and global social work. She is a native New Yorker who identifies as a food enthusiast. She enjoys travel and dance.
