Carbon Commitment Signing

On November 13, Radford University President Brian O. Hemphill, Ph.D., signed the Carbon Commitment, reaffirming Radford University’s long-standing focus on reaching carbon neutrality and promoting campus-wide sustainability.

As part of the Carbon Commitment, President Hemphill established the President’s Sustainability Task Force and charged it with developing a new sustainability and climate action plan.

Joining President Hemphill at the signing were Radford University Sustainability Manager Josh Nease (right) and Stockton Maxwell, Ph.D., (left) an associate professor of geospatial science and member of the University’s newly-formed President’s Task Force on Sustainability.
