Tartan Tails is self-funded through private giving. Nineteen teams and growing with your support.

Tartan Tails was established as a wellness program in 2022. It is designed to promote wellbeing across the Radford University community through positive interactions with trained and certified animals. Tartan Tails aims to further Radford’s approach of holistic wellness by using the advantages of pet therapy in order to enhance the lives of individuals within our campus community.

"Therapy dogs bring warmth, joy and connection to campus life—reminding us that care can be as simple as a friendly paw."
