Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition
During Spring Semester 2022, the Graduate College will host a virtual Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition for students enrolled in Radford and RUC graduate programs.
Radford's 3MT Competition helps graduate students share their research, discoveries, and creative endeavors with a non-specialist audience in fast-paced format. This year, 3MT finalists will compete for prizes in three cateogries:
- First Place ($500)
- Runner Up ($300)
- People's Choice ($300)
Three minute...what? Tell me more about the 3MT!
First developed by Australia's University of Queensland, the 3MT Competition now takes place at hundreds of universities worldwide.
All 3MT Competitions follow the same guidelines: A three-minute talk aided by a single static PowerPoint slide; no embedded electronic media; and no props.
Participants in an online 3MT Competition submit their talk as a one-take, pre-recorded video.
Spring 2022 3MT Finalists
Eight outstanding finalists are participating in this year's competition. Meet the 3MT finalists and then watch their recorded three-minute presentations.
People's Choice Voting
From March 21 to March 28, Radford and RUC students, faculty, staff, and alumni are invited to help choose the winner of the People's Choice Award. The person who receives the most unique votes will win! Cast your vote here.
On April 6 at 6:00 p.m. EDT, the 3MT award winners will be announced during a live, online ceremony that is open to the public; all 3MT finalists will be acknowledged during the ceremony, as well. Access the awards ceremony here: https://radford.zoom.us/s/99483791714
