Applying to the I/O Program
Admission is competitive and the deadline is February 15. Please note that we have many more applications than openings, so meeting all criteria does not guarantee acceptance. However, we do take a holistic consideration of candidates beyond minimal criteria. While the minimum GPA for regular status is 3.0, both the overall and average junior/senior GPAs are around 3.5. At least eighteen undergraduate credit hours in Psychology must have been completed or are in progress prior to admission. Applicants must submit:
- A complete online application
- Official transcripts from the institution at which you earned your baccalaureate degree, and unofficial transcripts from any other post-secondary institution attended
- Three letters of reference (at least one from a psychology professor, two preferred) to be solicited directly from the Graduate College from those listed on your online application
- A short statement (no more than two pages) regarding why you are interested in I/O psychology and your future plans
- An up-to-date resume
