Mr. Martin joined the Radford University faculty in 2021.

Interests:

Mr. Martin’s interests include the prosecution of domestic and international terrorists, the FBI’s use of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) in furtherance of criminal pursuits, as well as the legal framework of the U.S. Intelligence Community.

Recent Professional Activities:

Mr. Martin served as General Counsel to the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI) from 2017 to 2019.  Prior to that experience, he worked as Assistant General Counsel for the Central Intelligence Agency.  He began his legal career as a corporate litigator for McGuireWoods LLP.

As an Adjunct Lecturer at Georgetown University, Mr. Martin also recently taught workshops (in conjunction with Radford University) regarding America’s urban-rural divide.  Mr. Martin also has coached award winning mock trial teams at the University of Richmond and American University.
