Apply for Accommodations

Students seeking academic accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act must apply for services with the Center for Accessibility Services (CAS) to determine eligibility.

Submit a CAS Application for Services

• Step 1: Log in to OneCampus
• Step 2: Search for Student – Access CAS.
• Step 3: Select the Student – Access CAS tile. This will take you to your Access CAS home page. (We recommend bookmarking this page for easy access.)
• Step 4: In the left-hand navigation menu, select Accommodation to expand the menu, then click Accessibility Request.
• Step 5: Complete the Accessibility Request form and select Submit.
• If you have documentation to upload, return to the main menu, select Documentation, and follow the prompts to upload your files.

After You Submit an Accessibility Request

• You will receive a confirmation email after submitting your request. If you do not receive one, please contact CAS.
• A CAS Access Specialist will review your request.
• Watch your Radford email for instructions to schedule your required registration interview with an Access Specialist.

Meet with Your Access Specialist
During your registration interview, you and your Access Specialist will discuss your disability-related needs and determine appropriate accommodations.

After your interview:

• You will receive an email summarizing your approved accommodations.
• You will also receive instructions for logging into Access CAS to submit your Semester Request.

Request Your Accommodations Each Semester
Approved accommodations do not automatically carry over each semester. To use your accommodations, you must:

1. Log in to your Access CAS account.
2. Submit a Semester Request for your approved accommodations.
3. Wait for your Access Specialist to approve your request.
4. Once approved, you will receive an email that your Semester Access Plan is ready.
5. CAS will notify your instructors that your Access Plan is available.
6. The student must Meet with each instructor to discuss your accommodations.
7. After your discussion, both you and your instructor must electronically sign the Semester Access Plan.

Important: Your accommodations are not in effect until you have met with your instructor and both you and your instructor have electronically signed the Semester Access Plan.
