Joining Greek Leadership and Campus Traditions

Benefits

The choice to join a fraternity or sorority promises lifelong membership and involvement. You will find a strong sense of personal belonging, create a network of support, dedicate time to a philanthropic cause, engage in community service, and have the opportunity to take on leadership roles.

The greatest benefit to membership is the international network that is available to you by connecting with other members from across the world.

I want to join a fraternity or sorority. Where do I start?

Interested students are encouraged to attend open chapter events, Club Fair, and recruitment events to learn more about each of our chapters and the councils they are a part of.  Students can also stop by Fraternity and Sorority Life to talk about the organizations and the joining processes for each of the councils.

What are the requirements to join a fraternity or sorority?

New students: Have a high school GPA of 2.8 or higher.

Transfer or returning students: Have a college GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Be in good conduct standing.

Be enrolled as a full-time student at Radford University or RUC.

Students participating in the Bridge Program with NRCC are not eligible to join the Fraternity and Sorority Community.

How do I learn more about joining?

If you have specific questions or concerns you can contact the Fraternity and Sorority Life Office by phone at 540-831-6534, or e-mailing fslife@radford.edu.
