Adjudication

Adjudication Procedure

• Mid-October to Mid-November: Students are nominated by their district (check with division guidance counselors or gifted coordinators about local processes and deadlines for this step).

• Late November: Our offices will send invitation letters with a registration link to OpusEvent (an online platform for accepting and screening applications) - the school guidance counselors or gifted program coordinators of the students are to distribute invitation letters to the students for their audition.

Adjudication Expectations

• Early December - Early January:
• Student applicants must create videos of their work for the adjudication process and upload them to YouTube (private unlisted hyperlink), Google Drive, or Dropbox with a hyperlink that will be provided to them and which the adjudicators can access.
• Once an applicant registers on OpusEvent, they will upload a PDF of their hyperlink(s) and record an answer to the question asked of them about their practice. Applicants to the Vocal and Instrumental Music Programs must also complete a sight-reading exercise provided on the adjudication platform.
