SCAPTA Conference 2017

Second year DPT student, Kimberly McDow and first year DPT student, Brooke Malloy were able to attend and present at the SCAPTA (South Carolina Physical Therapy Association) conference on March 31 - April 1.  Their poster entitled "Implementation of Cupping Combined with Exercise in a patient with Low Back Pain: A Case Study," was viewed by both students and current physical therapists attending the conference. During the conference, both Kimberly and Brooke had the opportunity to attend some of the breakout meetings on topics such as prosthetics and were able to network with other students and professionals from states such as South Carolina and Georgia.  Their enthusiasm for the PT profession grew as they were able to explore new and developing topics within their field, and gain knowledge about the variety of services and opportunities that the profession is offering to the community and society as a whole.
