COSD Participates in the Waldron College Interprofessional Case Study Activity
On 2/17/23 COSD 1st year graduate students participated in the Waldron College Interprofessional Case Study Activity hosted by the Waldron College of Health and Human Services and the School of Nursing. The goal of this event is “To support and encourage the skills required for collaboration among students in health care, human services, and education professions.”
COSD met as a group and then joined small interprofessional groups with students and faculty from nursing, social work, occupational therapy, music therapy, and the physician assistant program. Within small groups the disciplines discussed a fictional case of a woman in her 70s with a recent traumatic brain injury. The groups discussed their roles, how disciplines collaborate, learned to ask questions of each other, and create a care plan.
