Transfer Students

At Radford University, transferring could not be easier or clearer. Depending on the number of approved credits transferred into the university, you will be asked to cover one to all four of the REAL areas. See below for more details!

Students with 56 or more approved transfer credits or a SCHEV approved transfer degree

Complete majors, minors, and/or certificates that fulfill at least one area of the REAL Curriculum. At least 3 credit hours in designated coursework in each R, E, A, and L area. The coursework in R, E, and A must also be GE designated.

Students with 36 - 55 approved transfer credits

Complete majors, minors, and/or certificates that fulfill at least two areas of the REAL Curriculum. At least 3 credit hours in designated coursework in each R, E, A, and L area. The coursework in R, E, and A must also be GE designated.  All other REAL Curriculum requirements must be completed, including general education credits and writing intensive course requirements.

Students with 15 - 35 approved transfer credits

Complete majors, minors, and/or certificates that fulfill at least three areas of the REAL Curriculum. At least 3 credit hours in designated coursework in each R, E, A, and L area. The coursework in R, E, and A must also be GE designated.  All other REAL Curriculum requirements must be completed, including general education credits and writing intensive course requirements.

Students with 0 – 14 approved transfer credits

Complete the REAL Curriculum as required.
