Radford University to host writer Ella Morton

New Zealand-born, Australian-raised, Brooklyn-based writer Ella Morton is visiting Radford University at 4 p.m. on Feb. 1 in the Bonnie Auditorium as part of the Honors Speaker series.

Morton, who co-wrote the New York Times bestselling book “Atlas Obscura: An Explorer’s Guide to the World’s Hidden Wonders,” is the senior editor at Atlas Obscura.com, where she has written about topics such as library-induced anxiety, Victorian streaming music services and the etiquette of marrying a ghost. Prior to Atlas Obscura, Morton covered consumer technology at CNET and hosted Rocketboom NYC, a web show about people and places of New York City. She also interviewed Cookie Monster on the set of Sesame Street.
