Radford University again named "Best Bang for the Buck," ranked as Virginia's #1 university

Radford University has been recognized for the third year in a row as a "Best Bang for the Buck" institution by Washington Monthly magazine and was ranked as the top Virginia university.

Radford University also came in at No. 12 of 288 schools in the "Southeast" category of the magazine’s rankings, which assess affordability, access and student outcomes.

"This ranking reaffirms what we - our faculty, staff, alumni, parents and students - have always known about RU. We provide an incredible educational value for the cost of attendance," said President Penelope W. Kyle. "We are honored to receive this recognition as it will help prospective students and their families make more informed decisions about the value of the excellent educational opportunities Radford University offers."

Washington Monthly's college rankings rate institutions based on three criteria: social mobility, research and civic engagement. Washington Monthly also rates colleges that are doing the best job of helping students attain marketable degrees at affordable prices.
