If you're still finishing off the last pieces of birthday cake in celebration of Michael Jordan's 50th, you may also want to check out author Roland Lazenby's 1998 book about the breakup of Jordan's Chicago Bulls, now available as an e-book.

Lazenby, a Radford University communication instructor, wrote "Blood on the Horns: The Long Strange Ride of Michael Jordan's Chicago Bulls." It was released in mid-February by Diversion Books in electronic format to mark the basketball Hall of Famer's birthday.

Later this year, Diversion Books will release in e-book format Lazenby's 2000 biography of legendary basketball coach Phil Jackson. The title of that book is "Mindgames: Phil Jackson's Long Strange Journey."

Audible.com, a division of Amazon.com, has acquired the rights to "Blood on the Horns" and "Mindgames," and will release both as audio books this year, Lazenby said.

The prolific author also has penned text for a picture history of Chicago's NBA team. Titled "The History of the Chicago Bulls," it will be published in March.

In 2012, Lazenby wrote "Los Angeles Lakers Basketball Vault," "The Boston Celtics Basketball Vault" and "The NBA's Greatest Teams," all gift books from Whitman Publishing.

Currently, Lazenby is working on "the definitive biography" of Jordan, tentatively titled "MJ," to be published in 2014 by Little, Brown and Company.
