Sean Kotz serves as the Communications Officer for the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Radford University. He has taught literature, film, writing, research and public speaking at both Radford University and Virginia Tech, where he received an M.A. in English. 

Sean got involved in filmmaking in 2006. Since then, he has written, produced and directed five feature length documentaries and produced The Song of the Mountains from April 2013 through January 2016 for public television distribution. In 2022, Bear Manor Media published his film studies book, Invasion ’51: The Birth of Alien Cinema.

He's also worked as an artist, musician and journalist. He is a regular contributor to Prehistoric Times Magazine as a writer and artist and has written for several news publications including the Roanoke Times and Blue Ridge Business Journal

Laurie Powell-Ward

Holding an MFA in Scenography from UNC-Greensboro, her regional design credits include work with the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Charleston Stage Company, Nashville Children’s Theatre, and Struthers Library Theatre, among others. Locally, she has designed scenery for Opera Roanoke, Mill Mountain Theatre, and Virginia Children's Theatre. Laurie has also worked extensively as a scenic artist, painting for regional companies such as the Guthrie Theatre, Children’s Theatre Company, Tennessee Repertory Theatre, Opryland USA, and Sesame Street Live. Prior to her life in Virginia, she was the Assistant Production Manager for the Spoleto Festival USA in Charleston, SC; however, after over two decades of being "new here," Laurie is proud to call Roanoke home.

Micah Untiedt graduated with a BA in Theatre and Cinema from Virginia Tech and received her MA in Cinema Studies from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Her research primarily lies in the horror film and feminist film studies.
