On Friday April 20, 2018 at 9:00 p.m. senior Brittney Nicole Price will stage a one-time outdoor light show for campus near the outdoor stage on the fountain side of Heth Hall. Price is a theatre major with a concentration in lighting design, and the light show she is planning will be part of her capstone studies in the concentration. The show will last for approximately 15 minutes and will be themed toward illustrating her personality and things that she cherishes in life.

“I wanted to do something that has not been tried before. I thought that doing something which combines theatre and architectural lighting would not only be fun but challenging as well. People can expect upbeat, fun music that will entertain all ages and light up the night in the best way,” said Price.

Price will be finishing up her studies at Radford University this semester. She says that she values the diverse educational experiences that the School of Dance and Theatre has provided her. “I have had the chance to do lighting for not only the theatre department but the dance department as well working in many different spaces around campus,” she said.

Following graduation Price plans to pursue a master’s degree. She has been accepted to the Master of Fine Arts in Theatre program at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and plans to continue her education there in the fall. Price says she will continue her studies in lighting and technical design at the university and hopes that she’ll be able to work for some of the many theatrical performances that take place in city. Ultimately she hopes to relocate to southern California and find work in the television and film industry.
