Adolf Dehn: Nocturnal Travels
Works from the Permanent Collection
Sept. 1 – 21
Originally from Minnesota, Dehn spent much of his life traveling. His art works consist of drawings, watercolors and lithographs of people and places he visited while traveling. This show emphasizes his lithography. The Art Museum’s collection of works by Dehn was the gift of his wife, at the suggestion of Dorothy Gillespie.

Art Adjunct Show

The gallery will not be open Saturday, Sept. 9.
This exhibition showcases recent art by adjunct faculty in the Art Department. Artists featured include Knic Umstead, Bill Ratcliffe, Parker Stafford, Yumiko Ichikawa and Cheng Fen Yeh.

Strange Weather: Erin Turner Exhibition
Sept. 29 – Dec. 3
Opening reception on Friday, Sept. 29 at 5 p.m.
Strange Weather explores site specificity, changing climatic patterns, and symbolic narratives of home. Utilizing local newspapers as well as newspapers that she creates herself, ephemera, chance, history, and time come into conversation in the large-scale sculptural works. This exhibition will include photographs of previous work installed across the globe, three dimensional sculptures, as well as participation from the art, dance, and music departments at Radford University for a collaborative interdisciplinary event.

This Radford University exhibition is a student competition with numerous awards, including Best in Show in the undergraduate and graduate divisions. The Juried Student Show is open to all Radford University students regardless of major.
The juror will be Professor Emeritus Jim Knipe.
