Radford University – Temporary THeatre Faculty

Position:  Full-time, One-year Temporary Faculty, beginning August 10, 2015.

Qualifications: The successful candidate will be a collaborator and a mentor with strong oral and written communication skills. Requirements: terminal degree in acting or directing, professional acting experience, commitment to undergraduate teaching, and directing experience. Expertise teaching in an additional theatre specialty is a plus.

Description: Duties include teaching Stanislavski-based acting courses, teaching Theatre Appreciation, directing one production, and participating in the general operation of the acting & directing program when appropriate.

Rank: Commensurate with qualifications.

Radford University – Assistant Professor of Dance

Full-time Temporary Position beginning August 10, 2015

Position: The Department of Dance announces a one year, full-time temporary position beginning August 10, 2015.

Qualifications: Terminal degree in dance, experience in undergraduate teaching, and choreography. Applicants must be competent to teach all levels of modern technique. Teaching responsibilities will also include some dance theory, possibly Dance Appreciation and Accompaniment for Movement. Will choreograph for main stage productions and supervise student choreography projects.
