Society of Physics Students (SPS)

Who We Are:  The Radford University Charter if the Society of Physics Students (SPS). Our members are students who are Physics or Physical Science majors, and/or have a good  interest in the subjects and strong desire to succeed beyond the undergraduate level.  The physics professors at Radford attend our meetings and participate in activities, as well as provide direction for our club.

What We Do:  The goal of the SPS goal is to provide information to its members about happenings in the world of science as well as plan and conduct activities that may interest it's members. Our club often organizes various activities on/off campus in numerous fun, scientific areas. Due to the familiar subject/membership, SPS is essential a sister club to the RU Physics & Astronomy Club. Our two clubs conduct meetings and often participate in events together.

Dr. Ron Keinigs Kicks Off Lecture Series!

The RU Spring Lecture Series will begin with a visit from Dr. Ron Keinigs. Dr. Keinigs is a professor at Virginia Tech, and has spent most of his career at the infamous Los Alamos National Laboratory. The Lecture Series will begin at 3:30pm, Feb 1 with drinks and munchies.
