Detailed Description of Conduct of Course

All MOT courses utilize instructional strategies that rely on active learning and best teaching practices.  

Additional instructional methods for each course are determined by course instructors in alignment with course content. These may include: 

  • Simulations/role-plays 
  • Student presentations 
  • Flipped classrooms 
  • Gamification 
  • Collaborative learning in teams 
  • Field/Lab experiences 
  • Guest speakers 
  • Case Studies 
  • Other

Explain to the community of interest (e.g., consumers, potential employers, colleagues, third-party payers, regulatory boards, policymakers, and the public) the distinct nature of occupation and the evidence that occupation supports performance, participation, health, wellness, and well-being 

B.3.21. Effective Communication  

Demonstrate effective communication with clients, care partners, communities, and members of the intraprofessional and interprofessional teams responsively and that supports a team approach to promote client outcomes.
