MUSC 391: Music Business/Commercial Music Seminar
Prerequisites: MUSC 104 , and permission of instructor.

Variable topic course. Will study major topics and issues in the music business and commercial music fields. The class content will draw from important and relevant industry issues, current events, and individual student interests and projects. Depending upon the topic, this course may be used to meet requirements for the minor in Women's Studies.

Detailed Description of Conduct of Course
The course will include interactive lectures, outside reading, and student projects.
Student Learning Outcomes
Students are expected to acquire knowledge of varied topics in the music industry and in commercial music - related to job and career opportunities available to them after graduation.
Assessment Measures
Students will be assessed via their regular attendance, class participation, weekly assignments, recording projects, and oral and written presentations.
