History Teaching Practicum
Three hours lecture: (1-2)
Prerequisite: Three hours of history at 300 level or above and Permission of Instructor.
A practical introduction to the teaching of history gained via the assisting of a professor in the teaching of a history department course.
Note(s): Grading is pass/fail.
Detailed Description of Content of Course
Student will assist professor in completing tasks associated with the teaching of a history department course. Student tasks could include but not be limited to preparing class materials, giving presentations, tutoring, and supervising study hours. The range of expectations will be appropriate for the number of credit hours for which the student registers. May be taken more than once for credit.

The conduct of the course will vary based on plans agreed by the student and the faculty member.
