The 10^th annual Radford Gives Back is hosting a food collection for the Bobcat Backpacks Program on the Radford University campus.

Collection Drop-Off

Student Recreation & Wellness Center first floor classroom. Student volunteers are needed to assist with sorting during the collection. Sign up to volunteer!

RUC in Roanoke is hosting its sixth annual donation drive in support of Feeding Southwest Virginia.

Collection

September 15-October 3. Donation bins are located in the Highlander House on the fourth floor.  All donations must be in by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3.

(No glass, please! Glass items can chip and break easily in the boxes.)

Volunteer Experience

Wednesday, October 8, 1-4 p.m. at Feeding Southwest VA

Volunteers will do Quality Assurance with Feeding Southwest Virginia. This includes evaluating donated food products by inspecting and sorting packaged food products to control for such issues as shelf life, dented cans, crushed boxes, and other superficially damaged food.

Students volunteering with Feeding Southwest Virginia will receive a shirt to wear at the end of their shift. Sign up to take part in helping Feeding Southwest Virginia.
