Mathematics

Transform your career with just six online courses by earning the Graduate Certificate in Mathematics. This 18-credit, fully online program prepares you to teach dual enrollment mathematics in high school or undergraduate mathematics courses.

The Graduate Certificate Program in Mathematics at Radford University is an approved SCHEV certificate program intended for students with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a mathematics-adjacent field. The program can be completed as a stand-alone graduate certificate.

This certificate is particularly beneficial for individuals who have completed a master’s degree in fields other than mathematics and need additional graduate-level mathematics coursework. Through six rigorous graduate mathematics courses, participants deepen their mathematics content knowledge and gain the advanced preparation needed to teach dual enrollment and undergraduate college mathematics courses.

For students seeking to earn a master’s degree, this program serves as a stackable credential pathway. By completing an additional six courses in pedagogy, students may be awarded a Master of Science in Math Education.

The program “has great instructors. The structure, organization and great activities my professors did with us gave me a blueprint to successfully teach online. I truly believe that without completing this program, I wouldn't have been chosen as the 2023 Teacher of the Year at my school. I'm so grateful for the experience!"
