Balances and Cars

Due Feb.13 (Fri)

Note: Review problems can certainly be hand-written, but for Programming problems always type in and run those programs (and submit a printout). No credit for hand-written Programming problems.

  1. (3pts) R3.1
  2. (2pts) R3.2
  3. (2pts) R3.3
  4. (3pts) R3.4
  5. (3pts) R3.5, except we replace the “2” by “10”.
Note how the problem is asking what a call to b.getBalance() would return after completing all three of the lines shown.
  6. (3pts) R3.6.
  7. Read P3.5, but write a test-class (6pts) and method-stubs (8pts) only. Be sure your test-class includes borderline or unusual inputs/situations.
Note: Do not turn in finished method-bodies for Car, only method-stubs! (Your code should all compile, but of course running your test-class will indicate that the aren't returning the expected (correct) values.) You will lose points if your code passes all its test cases (!).

(2ed: the book problems are numbered R3.?, R3.4, R3.5, R3.6a, R3.7, P3.?.)
