Focus and Philosophy:  Robyn Berg promotes arts and wellness in all she pursues.  She knows the power of storytelling through the art of theatre, brings a deep knowledge of the voice and body to her acting courses and yoga classes and loves to learn about the world through directing productions.

Background: Robyn grew up in Chicagoland, double majored in Theatre Performance and Radio/Video Communications at Bradley University, went on to live and work in New York City, got an MFA in Acting  from the University of Florida, began her academic career in Nashville and landed at RU in 2015.  She has performed and directed across the country and internationally on stage, screen and radio.

Teaching and Leadership: In the Department of Theare and Cinema, Robyn is a member of the Performance Faculty and teaches classes like Acting I, Acting IV, Theatre History and more.  She directs and serves on Intimacy Choreographer on productions as well.  She is also currently serving as the Acting Chair of the Department.

Research/Scholarship/Creative Work: Beyond acting, directing and teaching, Robyn loves to explore the connections between arts and wellness—having begun a center focused on that very topic in 2025.  She has presented on this topic at conferences such as the Virginia Theatre Association, the Virginia Thespian Festival and more.  She has performed new works at the Association for Theatre in Higher Education conference and the Southeastern Theatre Conference and recently traveled to Toronto to perform in festival of Medieval plays.
