Gichana Manyara, Ph.D., is a professor in the Department of Geospatial and Earth Sciences at Radford University.
He earned his Ph.D. in Remote Sensing and Natural Resources from Michigan State University,
an M.S. in GIS and Remote Sensing from Ohio University, and an MBA from Radford University.
His teaching and research focus on applied geospatial science and geoinformatics,
with emphasis on GIS and remote sensing applications for land use analysis, natural
hazards, and human–environment interactions.
