Brianne Merchant joined Radford University in 2025 as the Associate Director of Student
Advocacy. She provides direct support to students navigating academic, personal, and
financial concerns and contributes to case management efforts within the Office of
the Dean of Students. Brianne collaborates with faculty and campus partners to ensure
students receive coordinated, compassionate, and student-centered support. Brianne
is especially passionate about equal access to education and helping students navigate
barriers and realize their full potential. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism
with a minor in Peace and Social Justice from Florida Gulf Coast University and a
Master of Science in Higher Education Administration from Florida International University.
