Headshot of Donna McCloskey

I am thrilled to have found my place here as Dean of the Davis College of Business and Economics (DCOBE). One of the things I love most about DCOBE is our community.  We’re large enough to offer diverse perspectives and resources, yet small enough that we can truly get to know our students and colleagues.  At the heart of my work is a simple passion: helping others achieve their goals. This shapes everything I do—from designing curriculum that is relevant and practical, to engaging students inside and outside the classroom, building partnerships with the local business community and mentoring faculty as they grow in their own careers.  At its heart, teaching isn’t just about delivering content; it’s about inspiring students to find their unique place in the world and empowering them to be ready to make an impact, leading and living a life of meaning and purpose.

Outside of work, I’m happiest near the mountains and river that surround our beautiful campus, whether it’s hiking, kayaking or enjoying the view with a good book.
