Greetings! I am Wendy Li, an Associate Professor of Accounting at Radford University, where I primarily teach financial accounting and accounting information systems. My teaching philosophy focuses on creating a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages students to explore ideas, challenge themselves to think critically, and grow. I keep connected to current trends in the accounting profession and bring real-world insights into the classroom to keep learning relevant and practical. What I value most is seeing students develop confidence and discover how accounting can be a powerful tool for understanding business.
I have a strong passion for managerial accounting, particularly in the areas of ethics and internal controls. I also enjoy connecting research with teaching and often explore topics in accounting education to enhance student learning. I am also drawn to the growing field of data analytics and enjoy finding ways to integrate it into both my research and classroom. If you’re someone who also enjoys working with data, I’d love to chat.
I love traveling, trying new foods, and relaxing with a Premier League soccer match now and then.
