Responsive. Resilient. Real. These characteristics are what defines us as Highlanders. At Radford University, we illustrate these characteristics by responding to our community through involvement and service. Exemplify resilience by being solution focused, action oriented, and committed to excellence and by cultivating real relationships and experiences unique to the Radford experience.
The Citizen Leader graduation distinction program offers students opportunities to engage in authentic, inclusive, and individualized educational experiences that develop them into civically active and informed leaders. The leadership skills they gain will empower them to be the next generation of actively engaged leaders who are the change agents in their workplace, communities, and the world.
Crossroads is a leadership development journey, customizable to students’ personal goals and interests. The program includes three paths: Social Change Leadership, Personal Leadership, and Organizational Leadership. Students may complete just one path, or they may complete multiple paths if they choose.
