Student Counseling Services

To initiate services, please give us a call at 540-831-5226 to schedule your initial consultation.

*You must present a valid photo ID (Radford ONE Card, Driver's License, etc.) at your first face-to-face or tele-behavioral health appointment.

Monday - Friday, 8:00a.m. - 5:00p.m.
Monday - Thursday, 5:00p.m. - 8:00p.m.*
(prior scheduled appointments, completing paperwork, and scheduling of appointments)

*Please note that crisis interventions are unavailable during these evening hours. If you require immediate assistance or have an urgent matter after 5:00pm and on weekends, you can contact the Radford University Police Dept. at 540-831-5500, ACCESS at (540) 961-8400, CONNECT at (540) 731-7385, or dial 9-8-8 for your local mental health emergency response system. You may also contact the National Suicide Hotline at 9-8-8 or utilize the Crisis Text Hotline at 741741.

Wednesdays, 12:00pm - 1:30pm
Thursdays, 3:00pm - 4:30pm

Both groups meet in the Student Counseling Services Suite (lower level, Davis Hall)

Our Understanding Self and Others group is a great opportunity to work on general life and relational goals to increase your self-awareness and work on areas of personal concern. Most areas of personal distress or struggle would be appropriate concerns to address in this group.
