Accelerated Research Opportunities Living Learning Community (ARO-LLC) - The Accelerated Research Opportunities is one of Radford University's portfolio of living learning communities designed for motivated and prepared students to be immediately exposed to the wide range of research occurring at Radford University. This is done through personal interaction with some of our most successful faculty and then working one on one with these faculty in the spring semester.
Poster Printing – large scale posters for the use in disseminating original work in all disciplines of undergraduate students, graduate students, or faculty are printed free of charge. Please see the website for instructions on having a poster printed. Please provide a two week notice for printing; pdf submissions are open all year long.
Undergraduate Research Travel Awards – OURS supports student travel to present original work at conferences. Up to $500 can be awarded in support of an individual student. Awards are made on a rolling basis while funding lasts. Applications are due through the OURS website six weeks before departure and travel before July 1st is due by April 1st.
Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships (SURF) - $3000 awards ($2000 toward the student, $500 for the faculty mentor, and up to $500 in supplies) are made to undergraduate students and their faculty mentors. The goal of the SURF program is to foster a community of undergraduate research and engaged scholarship during the summer months at Radford University. This program will fund a variety of projects where students mentored by faculty engage in an original, intellectual or creative contribution to a discipline. Applications are due February 12th.
